It's with a mix of sadness and fond memories that we remember Kenneth (Ken) Waugh Jr., a man who touched many lives. He passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, after a brief struggle with cancer. He was 72 years old.
Ken's legacy lives on through his loving sons: James (married to Carrie), Mike (married to Amy), Andrew, and Jon (married to Angie). He was a proud grandfather to Emily, Caleb, Gabe, Spencer, and Lincoln. His sister, Susan Bendig, also survives him. For 17 years, Ken shared his life with his partner, Christine Vasey, and her children, David, Kevin, Lisa, and Daniel. He was a cherished uncle to Sarah, Bill, Ryan, Kelly, and Tom. Ken was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Harris, and his parents, Ken and Vivian Waugh.
Ken was known for his warm personality and friendly nature, always ready with a smile. He was often seen walking his dogs, connecting with neighbors, and spreading joy. He had a deep love for animals, enjoyed playing golf and baseball, and found peace in gardening.
A celebration of Ken's life will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2026, from 11 am to 1 pm at Parkview Church, located at 89 Speedvale Ave E, Guelph. Arrangements are entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL (519-822-0051).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Guelph Humane Society in Ken's memory.
A tree will be planted in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest in honor of Kenneth (Ken) Waugh Jr.
